Last week, three high school students were injured in a three-vehicle accident outside Alton High School in Alton, Illinois.  The accident occurred just after school let out for the day when two vehicles crashed into each other, and then collided with a van that was waiting to turn onto Humbert Road.  According to witnesses, an unspecified vehicle ran into a red truck, causing it to flip onto its side, and slide into the van.

One teen in the accident suffered serious head injuries and was flown to a hospital in St. Louis for care.  Two other teens in the accident suffered minor injuries.
