3 sent to hospitals in motorcycle accidents

This past Saturday, two separate motorcycle accidents in Elgin, Illinois sent three people to the hospital.  First, in the afternoon, a motorcyclist lost control of his bike and spun out on Route 20, west of Highland Woods Boulevard.  The motorcyclist was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for minor injuries.

Another accident occurred at around 5:20 P.M. east of the Fox River Bridge in the eastbound lanes of I-90.  According to police reports, a motorcycle rear-ended a car while traveling at 60 miles per hour.  The driver of the motorcycle and another rider were thrown from the bike.  The passenger landed in the roadway and the driver was thrown into the back window of the car that they crashed into.

Both the motorcyclist and the passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at Sherman Hospital.  The car’s three passengers were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the accident.
